Record where and when water appears

Water near the front can involve the seal, trapped fabric or excess foam. A puddle spreading from elsewhere can look like a door leak. Photograph the first visible wet area without touching the machine or an electrical connection.
Filling, washing or emptying
A leak during filling is different from one during draining. Note whether water appears before the drum moves, during a wash or at the end. Recent installation or plumbing work is useful context.
Use safe checks after the machine stops
